The Weekly STAR (March 24th)

 Sandlapper's Vision

Sandlapper will prepare every student academically, socially, and emotionally to be creative leaders in a global society.

Greeting Sandlapper Parents!

I hope you enjoyed your week.  We have certainly enjoyed working with your students, helping them to grow academically and socially.  As you may know, Report Cards will be sent home next Friday, March 31st.  Reviewing Report Cards with your child is a great practice to begin, if you have not already.  Reviewing progress and identifying areas where your child excels as well as areas where they need more practice will help them with goal setting.  Come up with one strategy to maintain strong areas and one strategy to improve in areas that need support. This could look like practicing math fluency at least 20 minutes a night or Reading a book or a chapter of a book and discussing new vocabulary.  For some students this may look like practicing sight words for 10 minutes each day.  Should you have questions about your child's report cards or ways you can best support your child at home, please reach out to your child's teacher to schedule a conference.  Remember, it takes a village!  Thank you for partnering with us to create a brighter future!!

Your Proud Principal,

WHY WE RUN
We run in memory of 1st LT Justice R. Stewart, a fallen United States Marine Corps officer and Richland Two graduate who had a giving heart, a selfless soul, an infectious laugh, and a heartwarming smile. She was artistic, confident, and ambitious, setting goals years in advance. 1st LT Stewart tragically lost her life while she was on a run. We run for her. Every time our foot hits the pavement, it is symbolic of a heartbeat, bringing life into the memories that 1st LT Stewart left behind to share with the world.

Thanks for helping us share this exciting event with the community! Together we will finish the run that Justice didn't have the opportunity to finish.  We will run in solidarity FOR THE LOVE OF JUSTICE in BOTH SC AND NC!
