The Weekly STAR (May 12th)

 Sandlapper's Vision

Sandlapper will prepare every student academically, socially, and emotionally to be creative leaders in a global society.

We want to share some bittersweet news with you.  Saying goodbye to a shining star is never easy.

Assistant Principal, Ms. Burns-Roberts will be retiring at the end of the school year.  She has played a monumental role in the success of Sandlapper over the years.  We will miss her dearly but wish her well in her upcoming retirement.

In addition, Assistant Principal, Mr. Terence Isaac has an opportunity to make a difference in a neighborhood closer to his home next year.  We will miss Mr. Isaac as he has made a huge impact on Sandlapper and this community over the past three years.  We wish him well in all of his future endeavors.

Over the next few weeks, we will work to hire two Assistant Principals who will help guide the school on the next leg of its journey.
Star Parents,
We need your help!  As the weather gets warmer, students begin dressing for the warmer weather.  Please help us maintain an appropriate learning environment by ensuring your student's clothes are appropriate for school.  Students should be adequately covered while at school.  Short shorts, midriff tops, and jeans with holes near the upper thighs should not be worn to school.  We love how students express themselves with clothing but also want to ensure Sandlapper continues to be viewed as a learning environment.  Thank you for talking to your students and helping with this.

Thank you, PTO, for providing our teachers and staff with daily tokens of appreciation. Thank you, STAR Parents, for volunteering your time so our teachers could enjoy a duty-free lunch today. And thank you Superstar Leadership Team for providing the super snack cart and lunch this week.
We greatly appreciate you all!
In the image above, you will find more ways you can help us celebrate our teachers and staff this month.
